I had these two quilts pinned and ready to quilt for a couple weeks now. I finally sat down and got them quilted on Saturday. Don't why I waited so long. It's not like it was hard or time consuming. I just did some straight stitching in a large grid. Nothing exciting. Not complicated. I didn't want the quilting to take away from the simplicity of the patterns. Just enough to hold it all together. I have to say that I LOVE the cotton batting. It is so much easier to work with. It doesn't shift like the polyester batting does and it glides through the needle nice and smooth. I also like how this batting needs only to be quilted 10" apart.

Schnibble time

 

I received my first Schnibbles pattern in the mail yesterday. I was so happy it made it before Labor Day. This will be my Labor Day sewing project. After grocery shopping of course :( At least I don't have to work on Monday. That way I can sew all day long :)  Anyone else starting their Schnibble pattern yet?

Ghoul's Guild in October

The Ghoul's Guild will be having a big event in October. There will be give a-ways, scavenger hunts, and deals from the members.

I've decided to also have a 13 days of Halloween give a-way here on my blog. I don't have all 13 items figured out just yet but I know there should be a bit of something for everyone. Some things will be Halloween related while others will just be fun.

I'm leaning towards coasters, trick or treat bags, maybe some fabric, possibly a scarf or two, maybe even a crochet pattern from my shop. Who knows what I will come up with.

I do know that on day 13 there will be a quilt given away!
