I let Hubby chose the winner this time because Robbie was busy on the computer. He chose commenter #1. The first commenter isn't usually chosen so it was nice to see it happen this time. The lucky winner of a $40 CSN Stores gift certificate is Gene. Congratulations Gene! Gene is a wonderful quilter so stop by his blog and see what he has been working on lately.
I haven't been on the computer much lately due to shoulder troubles. I'm still having trouble with my right shoulder that I hurt back in January at work. I've always heard that dealing with a Workman's Comp injury takes a long time and now I know first hand that it is a slow process. I've been doing physical therapy for a few weeks but it just seems to make it worse. It's very painful and keeps me from playing on the computer for more than a couple minutes. Plus, it keeps me out of the sewing room. Not much fun happening around here.
I do have some projects to show from before though. Plus, I have been lucky enough to win a few give aways. I won two Go! dies from A Few Scraps last month. I chose the Drunkard's Path 7" die and

the Go! Critters Die. I have seen so many fun quilt designs using the Drunkard's Path die that I just had to try it out for myself. I've also been looking at all the gorgeous quilts Barb has made using the critter dies. Plus, she has made some great Drunkard's Path quilts using her stash of Samoan fabrics. Now to I just have to wait until the shoulders can handle cranking the Go! handle. I might just have to put Robbie to work cutting fabric for me. I'm also thinking about buying the Dresden Plate die. I have a few ideas for mini quilts and the die would make the process much easier.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Yaaay! Thanks Robin! I will put this to good use. I am thinking I need an extra bookcase for fabric storage. My current one is full.
I was on my way over here to email you to see what was 'wrong'??? you usually do blog alittle more often!!!
I miss you and hearing from you--but I understand about the pain--just glad to know you are still around!!!
be good to yourself and take care--am praying for you.
Hugs, Di and miss gracie
Hey Robin! Congrats to Gene for his win...that's cool! And congrats to you for your wins, too.
I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. I know from experience that PT is no fun...but it sure must be awful when it just makes your problem worse. And I hope things work out okay with the worker's comp claim...that is a pain!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Sorry you are still having trouble with your shoulder....do hope you can get some relief. Congrats to Gene.
Congratulations to Gene! Have fun shopping.
Thanks for having such a wonderful giveaway!
Sorry that your shoulder and workman's comp isn't a fun experience. Hate to be negative, so I'll simply say have patience (I hurt my back in '03 and still having problems). But things will get better.
Love your new dies and eager to see what you create with them!
