My boss's Granddaughter (3) has always been a girly girl. She thinks she is a princess :). Her Grammie decided she needed a cape since she has been using a piece from her tent as a cape. The above picture is where I "forced" my 18 year old daughter to model the cape for me lol. I love torturing my kiddos :)
Since Maria is a little princess I knew she would need a pink cape with a crown. I was given this pink lining fabric a couple months ago and wasn't sure what I was going to use it for. See, if you hold onto something for long enough a use will arise. The crown and initial is felt. I found the crown pattern here.
The cape has a nice collar that uses velcro as a closure. I found this pattern over here. I had to sift through lots of patterns until I found one that didn't require me to measure a kid since I don't have any little ones around any longer.
I managed to fit this project in last month. I couldn't let the pretty pretty princess wait too long for a new cape.
