Oh Deer Oh Deer

This November's theme over at YOE was reindeer. My partner was Sherry this time. Sherry send some wonderful things.

The most important lol. The boys were quick to fight over this. Of course Momma won and it is still sitting on my TV table FULL. Ha! Take that boys.

Aren't these cards precious? I would love to make handmade cards but I really don't need a new hobby.

These are wooden ornaments. I was looking for something like these at a craft store but didn't see any.

November's reindeer

This month's theme over at YOE is reindeer. My partner was Sherry. I went a little cutesie this month. I crocheted a couple ornaments. Then I found the bead snowmen ornament kit and thought they would be nice ornaments so I made a couple of them. I also found the reindeer bag as a kit and thought it would be sweet to hold everything. Sherry has some younger kids and grandkids so I thought the reindeer craft kits would be fun. Next month is elves. I already have one ornament done.

October Owls Received

My partner for October over at YOE was Niki. Niki sent this cute little bag full of treats.

First, this adorable card.

There is a sweet paper butterfly on the inside of the card. Niki also sent some goodies from Stitchin' Heaven. Niki takes care of their blog. There is a hand sanitizer pen, a regular pen, and a pen light. Hey, I just noticed a theme there lol.

Her daughters helped her make these sweet fabric owls. I love the eyes on these guys. When I receive swap packages in the mail I always show Hubby what's inside. He was crazy about these little owls. I can never tell what is going to interest him.

Niki also added some fabric. You can never go wrong with fabric. Love the clocks.  Thanks Niki!!

October over at YOE

My October partner for the YOE swap was Niki. I'm still busy unpacking from our trip so I'm just using the same post from YOE over here.

I'm pretty sure Niki has received her October package so I am going to go ahead and post what I sent.

Here is the basic package. I had to take a quick picture at night before I ran to the post office.

Niki said she collects rubber stamps so I added a few to her package. The two larger ones in the back were given to me awhile ago. I'm not a rubber stamper so they just sat in a box. The cute little owl one in the front I found at AC Moore. Hubby and I looked all through the store looking for owl items. Eventually we found the stamp and some fun little stickers in the scrapbooking section. I very seldom wander in that section. I'm not very good at scrapbooking. You can also see the little owl ornies I made.

I also knitted this owl cup cozie. It is supposed to be for a disposable coffee cup but it came out a bit loose. It fits nicely on several of my drinking glasses though.

I love making these friendship totes so I made one to hold all of Niki's goodies. Hope you enjoyed your package Niki.

Happy Halloween to those that celebrate. We came back early this morning from a short trip so we are just going to stay home and watch the live Ghost Hunters Halloween episode and relax before the new week/month starts tomorrow.

More mice in the house

This is the adorable Little Miss Mousie that I received from Courtney as part of the Year Of Enchantment. I haven't heard of Kalahari yarn before so it will be fun to work up something new with it. Maybe some wrist warmers, I haven't decided yet.  Thanks Courtney!

September is for mice

Over at YOE the theme for September was mouse/mice. My partner this month was Courtney. I went simple this month because I didn't want to over think what my shoulder could handle.

The green birdie thing in the middle is a potholder. I didn't have any mice fabric but mice and birds go together, right? I also crocheted a mousie ornament all dressed for winter. The fuzzy things are knit mice with googly eyes.

August is for Octopuses

This month over at the YOE swap the theme is octopus. My partner this month is Michele over at Something Special. You already saw the crocheted octopus stuffie...

I also made these ornaments. I used Future Girl's tutorial. I love working with felt :)

June YOE swap goodies

Kim was my June partner for the YOE swap. Unfortunately her mailman wanted to join in and "misplaced" the package she sent me. Eventually they tracked it down and it finally made it to me.

A fun box of goodies was waiting for me when I got home from my most recent MRI/arthogram. It was a great thing to come home to after a long day of being tortured. Even the box is fun!

Our theme was Gnomes. I think of these like the Hansel and Gretel of the Gnome world. They even have a nice tree home to live in.

Teeny, tiny adorable crocheted Mr. and Mrs. Claus. I know alot of work went into these. The thread is so thin and the crochet hooks are teeny, tiny.

and a fun apron. I think the universe is trying to tell me that I need aprons because Kim is the second person to send me an apron.

Over at YOE the theme for July was snails. My partner this month was Jenny from The Red Bulletin Board. She sent me some lovely goodies this month. A couple packets of tea that Hubby and I are going to try out soon, my snail ornie and a fun journal. I love how she made the snail on the journal cover from a swirlie sticker. Isn't he cute?

This month's theme over at YOE is Gnomes. There is just something about Gnomes that make me smile :) These are some of the projects I have been working on this month.

Mermaid Love

May's theme over at YOE was mermaids. These are the goodies I sent to Natalie. These goodies had a long flight to Australia so I wanted to make things that weren't going to be too heavy to mail. I was reading on her blog that she was starting to make felt food for her little guy. Thought it would be fun to make a few items to add to his kitchen. I love working with felt.

Natalie sent me these wonderful goodies. I have never seen a mermaid cookie cutter before. See the quilled mermaid ornament in the box. Amazing! I have tried quilling before and it isn't easy especially without the right tools.
